The journey of Swadishh began not in a boardroom, but with a simple craving — and a powerful lesson.
At just 19, our founder set out to enjoy a humble local snack: thekua. But what should’ve been a nostalgic bite turned into a wake-up call — poor hygiene, stale ingredients, and zero care. It wasn’t just disappointing — it was disturbing.
That moment sparked a bold question:
Why can’t our traditional snacks be both delicious and safe?
The answer began to take shape during Chhath Puja, when the best local snacks were hard to find — seasonal, inconsistent, or simply unavailable. What was once abundant was now a rarity. And what remained lacked purity and trust.
This wasn’t just a personal problem — it was a national opportunity.
